About St. Michael’s Church - Rathbarry
St. Michael’s Church - Rathbarry dates from 1832. It has a T-shaped plan with a three-bay nave, built of rubble stone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and an internal gallery.
The building
Square-headed nave windows contrast with the pointed-arch and rose windows elsewhere in the church. The interior includes a moulded reredos, polychrome floor tiles and a marble altar, all.
