What is here
Every church we can verify, of every Christian denomination in Ireland, north and south. For each one we hold the address, the denomination and, where the church or its diocese publishes them, the service times, the phone number, the email address and the website. 4,657 have coordinates and appear on a map. 1,563 have a written account of the building and its history. 38 dioceses have a page of their own.
Where the times come from
Every time on this site was published by the church or its diocese: a parish website, a diocesan listing, a newsletter. Nothing is inferred, estimated or carried over from another church in the same parish. Where a source's own wording carries meaning, such as (as Gaeilge) or (Choral Eucharist), we keep the wording rather than reducing it to a clock.
On 121 church pages the sentence we read the times from is quoted underneath them, with the site it came from named. That is there so you can judge for yourself: a schedule reduced to fields loses the qualifiers a parish writes around it, and the quote gives them back.

What is missing, by denomination
A blank is not a claim that a church has no services. It means we have not found any published anywhere we can cite. The gaps are uneven and worth knowing about before you rely on one:

What we do not do
We do not carry seasonal schedules. Christmas, Holy Week and the holy days of obligation are announced by each parish a week or two beforehand and change from year to year, and a stale one is worse than none, so we hold the ordinary weekly schedule and explain where each parish publishes the rest. We do not name current clergy in our own prose, because it changes without notice and we have no way to check it. We do not take a view on doctrine, and we do not compare one tradition with another.
Corrections
If a time here is wrong, or a church is missing, or something reads as though written by somebody who does not know the subject, we want to hear about it. Tell us and we will fix it. Corrections about a specific church are most useful with a link to where the correct information is published.
