One Day Retreat at Lough Derg

A day of prayer and quiet on the island, with boats from 9.15am, the retreat beginning at 10.20am in St Patrick's Basilica and boats returning from 4pm. Remaining 2026 dates are 18, 22, 23, 29 and 31 August and 5, 6, 9, 12, 15, 19 and 20 September, including the Pioneer National Pilgrimage (5 September) and a Saint Carlo Acutis day (6 September). Pre-booking required; the Three Day Pilgrimage season closes on 13 August.

The 2027 texts were written in Ireland — by the Irish Council of Churches with the Bishops' Council for Ecumenism and Dialogue — on the theme "Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom" (Luke 12:32).
