Week of Prayer for Christian Unity
Various churches across Ireland
18–25 January 2027
The annual ecumenical octave, with services hosted by churches of different traditions through the week. The 2027 texts were written in Ireland — by the Irish Council of Churches with the Bishops' Council for Ecumenism and Dialogue — on the theme "Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom" (Luke 12:32).

Sung Latin Mass with the Palestrina Choir
11:00 - 12:15
The Palestrina Choir sings the 11am Latin Mass each Sunday during school term. The choir also sings Vespers on Tuesdays and Fridays at 5.30pm.
Cathedral Eucharist
11:00 - 12:30
The principal Sunday service, following the Church of Ireland liturgy with readings, sermon and sacrament. Visitors are welcome.
Choral Evensong
15:30 - 16:30
A sung service of reflection with psalms, readings and canticles from the cathedral choir. Visiting choirs sing during the choir's July and August break.
Sunday Divine Liturgy
Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation
10:00 - 12:00
Matins begin at 10am and the Divine Liturgy follows at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation on Arbour Hill. Further services are announced month by month.
Taizé Holy Hour
Cathedral of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven and St Nicholas
20:00 - 21:00
An hour of Taizé chant, Scripture and silence before the Blessed Sacrament. All traditions welcome.
Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help
Cathedral of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven and St Nicholas

The weekly novena prayers are offered at the 6pm Monday Mass. The cathedral's Solemn Novena runs each February.
Mass and Intercession to St Jude

The Carmelites' long-standing Tuesday evening Mass with intercession to St Jude, patron of hopeless causes.
Rosary and Benediction — Our Lady of Mount Carmel

Saturday afternoon Rosary and Benediction in honour of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, in the church that also holds the Shrine of St Valentine.
