About Corlespratten Methodist Church
Corlespratten Methodist Church was built in 1803. It has a single-cell plan with a three-bay nave and rendered walls. Notable features include stained-glass windows.
Notable people
John Wesley (1703-91), the founder of Methodism, is reputed to have preached on the rocks surrounding the church. The building was restored in 1903, as indicated by a plaque near the apex of the front gable. A detached five-bay school, built c.1870, stands on the site.
