About St Matthew’s Church, Ballymahon
St Matthew’s Church, Ballymahon was built between 1905 and 1910. It has a cruciform plan with a five-bay nave, built of squared limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a four-stage bell tower, stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and a marble altar.
