About St. Martin’s Church, Farnivane
St. Martin’s Church, Farnivane was built around 1800. It has a T-shaped plan and rendered walls under a pitched artificial slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows and a bellcote.
The building
The site has a rendered enclosing wall and a pedestrian entrance with square-profile gate piers, cross finials and a wrought-iron gate. A grotto dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary stands to the south-west, while the associated graveyard lies to the south-east behind rendered walls and wrought-iron gates.
