About St Joseph’s Church, Knockatallon
St Joseph’s Church, Knockatallon was built between 1876 and 1887 in the Gothic Revival style. The church is built of squared limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage tower, stained-glass windows and window tracery.
Notable features
A half-round stair tower contrasts with the rectangular transepts and porches. Inside are a marble reredos and side altars with worked column capitals, and a partially blocked east window and other unfinished interior details.
