About St. Bridget’s Church, Donaskeigh
St. Bridget’s Church, Donaskeigh was built around 1875. It has a four-bay nave, built of squared limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage bell tower and stained-glass windows.
The building
The sacristy doorway is shoulder-arched and reached by cut-limestone steps, with a timber-battened door fitted with decorative wrought-iron strap hinges. The site includes a lawned area and rock-faced limestone entrance piers with cross-shaped finials, decorative cast-iron railings and gates.
