About St Brendan’s Church
St Brendan’s Church dates from 1839. It has a T-shaped plan with a two-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and a marble altar.
History
St Brendan’s Church in Mullagh, Co. Mayo, dates from 1839. It was built in the period following Catholic Emancipation and replaced an earlier church on the site. The building forms an interesting small group with the adjacent presbytery.
