About St. Jarlath
St. Jarlath dates from 1846. It has a five-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and a marble altar.
The building
This freestanding Roman Catholic church was erected in 1846 by Revd Patk J Lyons PP. The structure includes a gabled porch, a two-bay sacristy, a steel framed bell stand, and a carved limestone date plaque on the west gable. Architectural details feature cut limestone cross finials, a Y-traceried two-light window, and a quatrefoil opening with stained glass on the east gable.
