About St. Michael
St. Michael was built around 1840. It has a four-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and an internal gallery.
The building
Internally, round arches on circular piers form side aisles that are not expressed on the exterior. Elliptical-profile piers support the gallery, and the ceiling carries decorative plasterwork. The south aisle and east gable include windows as being in the style of Harry Clarke.
