About Church Of The Holy Family, Duniry
Church Of The Holy Family, Duniry dates from 1958. It has a seven-bay nave. Notable features include a three-stage tower, stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and a marble altar.
The building
The design combines restrained Palladian revival forms with Romanesque motifs. Inside, a barrel-vaulted ceiling and arcading shape the gallery and upper stage of the tower. A former church across the road marks an earlier place of worship at the crossroads.
