About Our Lady of Ransom, Glenroe
Our Lady of Ransom, Glenroe was built between 1830 and 1832. It has a five-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and a marble altar.
History
A limestone plaque on the front elevation states the church was erected in 1834 under the superintendence of the Revd. D. Buckley P.P. The building is freestanding and gable-fronted, with a graveyard to the site. Boundary walls comprise dressed sandstone with cappings and lined-and-ruled rendered sections with limestone cappings.
