About Saint Patrick's, Glenbrohane
Saint Patrick's, Glenbrohane was built in 1819. It has a T-shaped plan with a two-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and an internal gallery.
History
The church was apparently a free gift from J. Boulton Massey Esqr. According to local records, Fr. William Power raised £600 to build the original thatched structure using local stone. The building likely took its present form in 1857 when the roof was slated and further alterations were made.
