About Moyrus Roundstone St Mary
Moyrus Roundstone St Mary was built in 1842. It has a four-bay nave, built of rubble stone under a pitched artificial slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage tower, stained-glass windows and lancet windows.
The building
This Church of Ireland structure features a single-bay chancel and a porch on the west gable. The irregularly coursed rubble stone walls are detailed with pecked and margined limestone quoins, plinths, and carved brackets. Decorative iron quatrefoil vent covers are set into limestone insets at the base of the nave windows. The site includes a tree-lined footpath with dressed stone piers and wrought-iron gates leading from the street.
