About Church of the Holy Family, Ballyconneely
Church of the Holy Family, Ballyconneely was built around 1850. It has a five-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched artificial slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and window tracery.
The building
This freestanding gable-fronted church features a five-bay nave with a sacristy to the south and a porch to the west. The rendered walls are supported by stepped buttresses and topped with a pitched artificial slate roof. A bellcote over the gable-front contains a bell, while cross finials adorn the east gable and bellcote. The structure includes a shrine of a crucifixion scene to the south.
