About Holy Trinity Church, Ballinalee
Holy Trinity Church, Ballinalee was built between 1945 and 1947. It has a ten-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and an internal gallery.
History
The church was designed by W. H. Byrne and Son, and Murphy Bothers was the main contractor. It replaced an earlier T-plan Catholic church or chapel dating from about 1825, which stood just east of the present site and was demolished after the replacement was completed.
