About Church of St Michael, Clogherhead
Church of St Michael, Clogherhead dates from 1865. The church is built of rubble stone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and window tracery. It was designed by John Murray.
Notable features
The interior contains Stations of the Cross, encaustic tiling between the piers, timber wainscoting to the east and west walls and a timber-trussed roof. The grounds also contain a stone grotto, a small graveyard, cast-iron railings and cast-iron gates.
