About Church of the Immaculate Conception, Louth
Church of the Immaculate Conception, Louth dates from 1883. The church is built of limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage bell tower with a spire, stained glass including a rose window, crenellated parapets and pinnacles.
Notable people
The design is by William Hague. The stained glass was supplied by Mayer and Company, while the altar furniture is attributed to W. H. Byrne with Edmund Sharp as sculptor. The west rose window uses plate tracery and the east opening has geometrical tracery.
