About Church of St Borchill, Dysart
Church of St Borchill, Dysart was built in 1766. The church has rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows and window tracery.
The building
This freestanding Roman Catholic church features a T-plan layout with a sacristy to the west. The structure is defined by painted smooth rendered walls, dressed ashlar limestone plinths, and unusual circular clasping quoins on the east elevation. A timber cross stands beneath the east gable, while the site is situated on a height with a straight avenue leading to wrought-iron gates and ashlar limestone piers.
