About Tullow (Carrickmines)
Tullow (Carrickmines) was built between 1862 and 1864. It has a cruciform plan with a two-bay nave, built of granite under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows and buttressed walls.
Notable people
A ledger-like monument commemorates parish and district men who died in the Great War. It names Lance-Corporal Charles H. S. Brown, Captain William Oswald Halpin, Second Lieutenant Archibald Hugh O'Farrell, Lieutenant Arthur Hone Wilson, Second Lieutenant Charles Robert Wilson and Major George Henry Wilson.
