About St Theresa’s Church, Ballintogher
St Theresa’s Church, Ballintogher was built in 1931. It has a simple single-cell form and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a bell tower, stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and mosaic work. It was designed by Vincent Kelly.
Notable features
The interior has glazed ceramic dado tiling, a timber A-truss roof carried on angular fluted corbels, carved timber confessionals and a polychromatic marble altar. A panel-fronted gallery spans the east end, and a marble display case is provided for a relic of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux.
