The building
St Michael’s Church is a freestanding single-cell Roman Catholic structure built c.1880. It features a five-bay nave with a recent porch to the south-east, a sacristy to the north-west, and a side extension to the south-west. The building has rendered walls, though exposed rubble limestone remains on the rear elevation. A pitched artificial slate roof covers the structure, topped by a rendered bellcote with a cross finial. The church includes uPVC framed lead-lined stained glass windows and is enclosed by rendered and rubble stone walls.
