About St. Joseph's Church, Glenhest
St. Joseph's Church, Glenhest was built in 1838. It has a simple single-cell form under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows and lancet windows.
History
The church was erected under Reverend John Hopkins PP, who was active here in 1837–39. It was built soon after the Roman Catholic Relief Act of 1829, and its interior was later reordered in line with Second Vatican Council reforms.
