About St. Joseph's, Castlemartyr
St. Joseph's, Castlemartyr was built between 1850 and 1870. It has a four-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and a marble altar.
Notable features
The south elevation contains pointed-arched niches with carved limestone basins bearing incised lettering and serving as fonts. Inside, the ceiling is timber-battened and a colonnade of hexagonal timber columns divides the aisles.
