About St. Joseph, Drumhawnagh
St. Joseph, Drumhawnagh was built in 1910 in the Romanesque style. It has a cruciform plan with a four-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a bell tower, stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and buttressed walls. It was designed by Thomas Francis McNamara.
Notable features
The interior roof has round arches flanking king-posts above arched braces set on wall corbels. The chancel arch is carried on paired marble colonettes with foliate capitals, and the reredos was rebuilt using one from the Convent Chapel at Granard.
