About Church of the Holy Family
Church of the Holy Family was built in 1904 in the Gothic Revival style. It has a single-cell plan with a six-bay nave and rendered walls. Notable features include stained glass including a rose window, an internal gallery and an open timber roof. It was designed by T. F. McNamara.
History
The church replaces an earlier T-plan structure located to the north. It stands within a graveyard containing twentieth-century markers and is accompanied by a freestanding cast-iron belfry manufactured by Matthew O'Byrne of Dublin in 1905. A plaque records the building's construction in 1904 and its renovation in 2010.
