About St. Colmcille
St. Colmcille was built in 1831. The church has pebbledashed walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage tower and pinnacles.
The building
The pointed windows have tooled-limestone surrounds and hood mouldings. The main pointed doorway is similarly dressed in tooled limestone around double timber-battened doors, and the single-cell interior is covered by a ribbed vaulted ceiling.
