The building
St Brigid's Church is a detached six-bay double-height single-cell Catholic church built in 1846. It features a rectangular plan with a gabled projecting porch to the south front and roughcast walls on a rendered plinth. The pitched slate roof includes a limestone ashlar bellcote with a cross finial framing a cast-bronze bell. Interior elements include mosaic tiled wainscoting, stained glass memorial windows, and an exposed timber roof construction.
