About St Brigid’s, Ballintra
St Brigid’s, Ballintra dates from 1845. The church has a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a bell tower, stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and a marble altar.
History
The present church replaced an earlier T-plan chapel. A date plaque records that it was built for the Revd Daniel Kelly, Pastor, by James McKenna of Stranorlar, and improvement works were carried out in 1912 by Edward Toye.
