About St. Bartholomew's Church, Bartlemy
St. Bartholomew's Church, Bartlemy was built around 1820. It has a T-shaped plan and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and carved Stations of the Cross.
The building
The east porch has a square-headed timber-battened door, and limestone holy-water stoups occupy lancet niches at the east and south entrances. The interior has a timber-boarded ceiling with exposed arched trusses on moulded timber corbels; the site entrances use rusticated limestone piers and cast-iron gates.
