About Rathmullan Presbyterian Church
Rathmullan Presbyterian Church dates from 1872. The church is built of squared stone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a bellcote, window tracery and buttressed walls.
History
The church replaced an earlier Presbyterian meeting house located near the coastline, which is recorded on the Ordnance Survey first edition map c. 1836. It was probably originally built for the Revd. John McFarland, who served as minister for 48 years until his death in 1908. The original architect is not known.
