About Our Lady of the Assumption, Bulgaden
Our Lady of the Assumption, Bulgaden was completed in 1886. It has a four-bay nave, built of squared limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage tower, stained-glass windows and window tracery.
The building
Begun c. 1860 and completed in 1886, this Roman Catholic church features snecked limestone walls with tooled quoins and a pitched slate roof. The structure includes a four-bay nave, a two-bay sacristy to the west, and a single-bay porch to the east. A square-plan three-stage tower stands to the south-east, adorned with a quatrefoil recess, date plaque, and carved limestone cross finials on the gables.
