About Our Lady of Lourdes, Ballyconnell
Our Lady of Lourdes, Ballyconnell was built in 1968 in the Modernist style. It has a seven-bay nave. Notable features include a bell tower, stained-glass windows and an internal gallery.
Notable features
The nave has stack-bonded concrete-brick walling and a ceiling whose raised central portion is divided by acoustic panels and timber framing. Full-height brick fins separate the chancel windows, while the recorded fittings include tiled flooring, timber pews and a brass tabernacle.
