About Kildallon
Kildallon was built around 1750 in the Gothic Revival style. It has a T-shaped plan with a three-bay nave and rendered walls. Notable features include a bell tower, stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and crenellated parapets. The transept was added in 1827.
The building
The three-stage bell tower was added to the west in 1815 and is attributed to John Bowden. The interior was reordered in 1865 by Welland & Gillespie. A Gothic-Revival mausoleum stands to the east, while the church and its oval-plan graveyard are enclosed by rubble stone boundary walls with ashlar piers.
