About Newbliss Presbyterian Church

Newbliss Presbyterian Church dates from 1842. The church has rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows and window tracery.

The building

The detached four-bay church was renovated and modernised c.1990, with its interior refitted to include pine pews and a timber sheeted ceiling. A lower single-bay former sexton's house is attached, abutting a four-bay two-storey hall to the north-east. The site is set back from the road behind a rendered wall, featuring a graveyard with a recessed entrance gateway having double-leaf cast-iron gates.
