About Monellan
Monellan was built around 1833. It has a three-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched artificial slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage tower, window tracery and buttressed walls.
History
Monellan Church of Ireland church was built c. 1833 as a chapel of ease associated with Saint Patrick's Church in Castlefinn. It was erected by the Board of First Fruits, and the churchyard was reportedly laid out and planted by the curate Revd Robert Delap. The building is located in the centre of Crossroads, south-west of Killygordon, Co. Donegal.
