About Monasteroris (Edenderry)
Monasteroris (Edenderry) was built between 1770 and 1780. It has a three-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage tower, stained-glass windows, pinnacles and window tracery.
The building
A limestone clock surround is positioned above the entrance bay, and pointed-arched louvred openings serve the upper structure. The graveyard contains markers dating from the mid nineteenth century onwards and is enclosed by a random-coursed wall with wrought-iron gates and limestone piers.
