About Longford Methodist Church
Longford Methodist Church was built in 1895. It has a simple single-cell form, built of squared stone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include window tracery.
The building
The gabled porch has a pointed-arch entrance with a carved-stone surround, hood moulding and timber-battened door with strap hinges. A square-headed sacristy entrance has dressed-stone block-and-start surrounds, while the landscaped site is bounded by coursed stonework, cut-stone piers and wrought-iron gates.
