About Ballymacormack
Ballymacormack was built around 1826. It has a two-bay nave under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage tower, stained-glass windows, crenellated parapets and pinnacles.
History
Built c. 1826, this Church of Ireland church was erected with a £900 gift from the Board of First Fruits. It was altered c. 1915, when stained-glass windows depicting angels were added to the nave to designs by Ethel Rhind. The site includes a graveyard with grave markers dating mainly from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, the earliest legible being that of Thomas Verner Richardson, dated 1855.
