About Lockeen (Loughkeen)
Lockeen (Loughkeen) is a Church of Ireland church in Lockeen, County Tipperary. It is one of the churches in the parish of Birr St Brendan (Parsonstown), in the United Dioceses of Tuam, Limerick and Killaloe.
History
Lockeen Parish Church was built in 1822, reputedly with stone quarried from land then belonging to the rectory nearby. The previous church building stands in the adjoining graveyard. The interior was refitted around 1910.
