Church of the Annunciation, Carrig dates from 1825. It has a cruciform plan and rendered walls under a pitched artificial slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and an internal gallery.

The building

This freestanding gable-fronted cruciform-plan Catholic church dates from 1825. It features pebble-dash render on most walls, with ashlar limestone used for the entrance front, bellcote, and corner buttresses. The structure includes a pitched artificial slate roof, a carved stone date plaque, and pointed-arch window openings with block-and-start cut-stone surrounds. Recent additions include porches to the transepts.
