About Killodiernan (Puckane)
Killodiernan (Puckane) was built in 1811. The church is built of rubble stone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage tower and pinnacles.
The building
This Church of Ireland structure, built in 1811 with Board of First Fruits funding, features a nave with a short projecting chancel and a three-stage west tower with pinnacles and castellations. The coursed rubble stone walls are detailed with ashlar string courses and pointed-arch openings with brick surrounds. A limestone wall with dressed stone gate piers bounds the graveyard, which has been in use for many centuries.
