About Killeshandra
Killeshandra was built in 1842 in the Gothic Revival style. It has a five-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and an internal gallery.
History
Designed by Dublin architect William Farrell, this Church of Ireland church was built in 1842. It replaced an earlier structure recorded in 1837 as a very ancient building in a state of dilapidation. The church forms part of an ensemble of related structures including the Martin Hall, school, rectory, and a former gate lodge.
