About Foxford (Straid)
Foxford (Straid) was built in 1801. It has a simple single-cell form under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage tower, stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and crenellated parapets.
Notable features
The interior contains a Gothic-style timber pulpit and clerk's desk from 1861, attributed to William John Welland and William Gillespie. The stained glass East Window was supplied in 1908 by Franz Mayer and Company to a design by William Francis Dixon. A wall monument signed by Coates of Dublin commemorates Julia Jackson, wife of Archdeacon William Jackson.
