Culdaff St Baudan (Carrowbeg) was built in 1739 in the Early English Gothic style. It has a two-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched artificial slate roof. Notable features include a bell tower, stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and crenellated parapets.
History
Built in 1739 or 1747, the church was extended in 1828, when a four-stage tower was apparently added, though it may be original. A vestry was likely added in 1836 to designs by Joseph Welland. Local tradition suggests the site hosted an early Christian church founded by St Buadan. The graveyard contains Commonwealth graves and a gravemarker dated 1687 for Rory MacKeane, indicating use predating the current building.
