About Cloncha (Malin)
Cloncha (Malin) dates from 1827. It has a three-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched artificial slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage tower, crenellated parapets, pinnacles and window tracery.
History
Cloncha (Malin) was built in 1827 with a £200 loan from the Board of First Fruits and £100 gifts from Bishop Knox and Mr Harvey of Malin Hall. Mrs Harvey laid the foundation stone on 27 July 1827. The interior was apparently restored in 1876 at a cost of £160. A pathway formerly led from the church grounds to Malin Hall to the north-west.
