About Church of the Sacred Heart
Church of the Sacred Heart was built between 1941 and 1945. It has a cruciform plan with a nine-bay nave, built of squared granite under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a five-stage tower, an internal gallery and buttressed walls. It was designed by Ralph Byrne.
