About Church of St Teresa of Avila

Church of St Teresa of Avila is a Catholic church at Ardrahan, Co. Galway, in the Ardrahan/Kilchreest/Peterswell parish of the Diocese of Galway, Kilmacduagh and Kilfenora. Sunday Mass is at 11:00am, with the Saturday vigil at 6:00pm. The church was built in 1856 by Fr Garahy in the Gothic style. In 1901, Edward Martyn of Tulira Castle commissioned Christopher Whall to design stained glass windows. His work led to the founding of An Túr Gloine , the Dublin stained-glass studio, whose artists created the windows now in the church.
