About Church of St Colman
Church of St Colman is a Catholic church at Ballinderreen, Co. Galway, in the Ballinderreen parish of the Diocese of Galway, Kilmacduagh and Kilfenora. Sunday Mass is at 10:30am. Construction began in 1841 under Fr Thomas Kelly, with generous help from the Blake French family of Cloughballymore. The church was cruciform in plan and built of local stone. In 1972, the roof was found to be badly affected by dry rot, and the building was largely reconstructed. Only the outer walls were retained.
